information from you as detailed below:

certain areas of our Platforms, you will need to register with us. During the
registration process, you will be asked to submit personal information about
yourself (for example, your name, addresses, e-mail address, telephone number,
CV, work experience, qualification details and information regarding past
employment). By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable Van

We may collect

your IP address, operating system, log-in times and browser type. We use this
information to better understand how visitors use our Platforms and for
internal reporting purposes.

Some of the
services that we provide are able to use information about your location. For
these services, which are typically available on mobile devices or
applications, you are provided with the opportunity to consent to the use of
location services, which, for example, process information identifying your
location derived from GPS or Wi-Fi access points. Your device will have
settings that allow you to turn off these services should you no longer wish to
benefit from them.
Sharing your
information
We do not rent,
sell or share personal information about you with other people or
non-affiliated companies outside the Richemont group, except under the
following circumstances:
Cloud hosting and international transfers
Information that
we collect may be transferred to, stored and processed in any country or
territory where one or more of our affiliated group companies or third-party
service providers are located or maintain facilities. Some of these third
parties will use cloud-based storage solutions. While other territories may not
have the same standards of data protection as those within your home country,
we will continue to protect the personal information we transfer in accordance
with this Privacy Notice.
We have
implemented standard contractual clauses to ensure adequate safeguards are in
place to protect your information where it is transferred to our affiliated
companies in territories outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
Where we share your information with a third-party service provider outside of
the European Economic Area and Switzerland (as detailed in the section entitled
‘Sharing your information’), we contractually oblige the third-party service
provider to implement adequate safeguards to protect your information.
Pre-employment screening
Our employees
are part of a global family working in a fair, open and trusted environment. It
is important for us to ensure that new employees joining Van Cleef & Arpels have a strong commitment to our shared
values.
We therefore
reserve the right to ask all candidates in the final stages of recruitment to
undergo a pre-employment screening check. Our approach to pre-employment
screening is based on the principles of transparency and mutual respect and is
conducted in line with all applicable regulations.
For applicants
in the United Kingdom only: where any special category and/or criminal
convictions data is processed by us or a third party service provider engaged
by us, as a result of any candidate pre-screening checks, we hold such data in
accordance with our Appropriate Policy Document. The Appropriate Policy
Document explains the special category data and criminal offence data we
collect and process, as well as our lawful basis for processing such data,
together with our procedures for complying with the data protection principles
and how we ensure compliance with A.5 of the GDPR.
Retaining your information
We keep your
information for only as long as is necessary for our purposes, for example to
send you information relating to current and future vacancies across the
Richemont group and to protect ourselves in the event of a legal claim.
However, the maximum time we will retain your information is a period of one
year. After this period, it will be deleted or, in some cases, anonymised.
Where we sought your consent to process your personal information and we have
no other lawful basis to continue with that processing, we will delete your
personal information if you subsequently withdraw your consent.
If you request that we no longer send you communications regarding future
vacancies, we will keep a record of your request and contact details to ensure
that your request is respected until such time as your information is deleted.
Protecting your information
We want you to
feel confident about using our Platforms, and we are committed to protecting
the personal information we collect. We limit access to personal information
about you to employees who reasonably need access to it in order to provide you
with products or services or in order to do their jobs. We have appropriate
technical and organisational safeguards (physical, electronic and procedural)
to protect the personal information that you provide us with against
unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, damage or
destruction.
However, where we ask you to choose a password in order to access certain parts
of our Platforms, you are responsible for selecting a secure password and
keeping that password confidential. You should choose a password that you do
not use on any other site, and you should not share it with anyone else.
How to edit, delete or access your personal
information
You have the
right to ask for a copy of any personal information that we hold about you in
our records, to correct any inaccuracies and to update any out-of-date
information. In some circumstances, you may also have the right to request the
erasure of your personal information or restriction of its use. You can also
ask us not to send you vacancy-related communications. If you wish to exercise
any of these rights, please write to us at the address listed below.
You may unsubscribe from job-alert communications at any time by contacting us
at the address below in the section headed ‘Contact us’ or clicking on the
‘unsubscribe’ link in any of our job-alert e-mails.
If you have a
concern about how we use your information, as a first step, please contact us
using the details set out below and we will do our best to resolve your
concern. After investigating your concern, we will respond to you in writing
within a reasonable time, setting out our proposed remedial action. You also
have the right to complain to a European Data Protection Authority if you think
we have processed your personal information in a manner that is unlawful or
breaches your rights.
Children
The Platforms
are not directed at anyone who we know to be under the age of 13, nor do we
collect any personal information from anyone who we know to be under the age of
13. If you are under the age of 13, you should not use the Platforms and should
not submit any personal information to us.
California Residents
This section
applies solely to the personal information collected online and offline of
California job applicants. This section is intended to address the relevant
notice requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended
by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the “CCPA”),
and uses certain terms that have the meaning given to them in the CCPA.
Updates to this Privacy Notice
From time to time, we may update this Privacy
Notice. When we do, we will publish the changes on our Platforms. If you do not
agree to these changes, please do not continue to use our Platforms. If
material changes are made to this Privacy Notice, we will notify you by e-mail
or by placing a prominent notice on our Platforms.
