Close contact with teams

Van Cleef & Arpels ensures close contact with its team members via a range of dialog tools.

Managing and assessing performance

The Maison believes in a culture of regular and constructive feedback enabling all employees to improve and become accustomed to the Maison’s values. Employee performance is assessed throughout the year.

In addition to this ongoing assessment, two annual meetings are arranged to discuss the employee’s achievements over the year, areas for improvement and their short- and medium-term perspectives in terms of their role and duties. It is an important moment that allows each employee to discuss (with their manager) their career prospects, specific skills development and mobility (i.e. geographical or inter-departmental).

Team members’ opinions

Encouraging dialog and close contact between teams is one of the Maison’s key priorities.

To achieve this, the Maison has developed a survey to listen to teams’ views, give them a voice and take on board their concerns. After initially using a traditional survey, the Maison now uses an application to survey teams on the themes of well-being in the workplace, development, communication, etc.

These surveys promote dialog and the joint creation of detailed action plans adapted to individual team member’s needs. Employees volunteer to act as communication relays, to then help identify themes, organize debriefing sessions and suggest areas for improvement. This application helps the Maison adapt to its team’s needs and gain an insight into employees’ aspirations.
